Oats and honey mask

1. Egg, oats and honey

Take a teaspoon of honey, rosewater and egg yolk. Mix them and apply it on the face and wash it when the pack dries. They can be used once a week and will keep your face soft and hydrated during winter. Honey is the best known moisturizer. They work well on dry and normal skin.

Mix oats and egg white and apply it on the nose to remove black heads. They act as a scrub and when used frequently, you can get rid of those black heads permanently. If you have wrinkles add a teaspoon of honey to this mixture and apply. They help reduce wrinkles.

This can be used as a daily facial pack. Mix honey, oats, egg white, a teaspoon of almond oil and apply completely on the face. Wash it off when it dries completely. They would help keep your face smooth and soft.

2. Face packs using fruits and vegetables

We prefer a fruit facial when we visit the beauty salon and shell out handsome money for this. But, it is very simple to make some packs using the fruits and vegetables that are available at home. The fruits act as the best cleanser and as they are natural and directly applied, they do not cause any harm to the skin. You will get the natural glow in your skin when you apply face packs on a regular basis using fruits.

Papayas are known as the best cleansers. Take the pulp and apply directly on the face. Leave it on the face till it dries. Wipe using a cotton pad. You will be surprised to see the difference immediately. Your face would look fresh.

A. Carrots and honey

Carrots are good when consumed but are even better when applied on face. Make a paste of carrot and mix two teaspoons of honey. Apply them on face and wash it off when it dries. Add semolina to use the same as a facial scrub. Carrots help in removing the dead cells from your skin and make your skin look fresh and healthy.

Orange Juice is the best toner. The citric acid in the orange juice helps tighten the pores and acts as a toner. If your skin is dark, you can add an equal amount of curd (yoghurt) to orange juice and apply on face. Curd helps lighten your skin and removes dark patches. They can also be applied on the back of neck and elbows.

3. Turmeric, gram flour

Gram flour is in use since our memory can take us. Some people use this on a daily basis to keep their skin soft and smooth. Add a pinch of turmeric to gram flour and apply. They help keep the skin smooth and turmeric acts as an antiseptic. Turmeric also helps in delaying the growth of unwanted facial hair.

In summer, your skin becomes oily and more prone to heat boils and other heat related burns. So, add sandalwood paste to gram flour and apply it on the face. They would have a cooling effect on the skin. During winter, you can add milk or cream to gram flour and apply on face. When used regularly, your skin becomes soft and free from blemishes.
