Are barefoot shoes good enough for cycling as well?

I have bought for myself Vivo barefoot shoes, as I wanted something hard for my sole. I wear it as running shoes, and found them quite good; however, I am not sure whether they would be equally good for cycling as well. I am about to buy a mountaineering bike for cycling, as it is the top in my fitness list. Nonetheless, I am quite apprehensive, as I assume, I’ll be required to buy another pair of sports shoes or something for cycling. Nevertheless, before, buying one, I wanted to know from somebody who has ever tried barefoot shoes for field cycling, that whether they found the shoes comfortable and efficacious enough or not! Can you guys please assist?
