Easy home treatments for dark underarms

One of the common problems due to which women prevent sleeveless blouses is dark underarms. They look awful. But there are some easy natural cures which are very effective in getting rid of dark underarms.

  1. Use of lemon

Lemon is natural bleach and it also has anti-bacterial properties. Lemon also helps in getting rid of the awful smell. You can simply apply a slice of lemon to your underarms on a daily basis before having a bath. You can also apply a mixture of lemon juice, turmeric, yogurt and honey to the underarms every day before having a bath for getting better results.

  1. Potatoes

Potatoes are natural bleaching agents and do not irritate the skin. You can simply apply a slice of potato to the underarm. You can also squeeze the juice of a potato and apply this juice to the underarms twice daily for getting faster results.

The accumulation of dead skin cells can result in darkening of underarms. Therefore, it is important to exfoliate the skin of the underarms on a regular basis. You can also make use of granulated sugar and nuts like walnuts and peanuts as exfoliating agents. Add granulated sugar to lemon juice and use this mixture as an exfoliating mixture for the skin. You can also grind peanuts or walnuts. To anyone of these grounded nuts add lemon juice and honey. Use this mixture as an exfoliating agent.

Milk has skin lightening properties. It becomes even more effective when you add yogurt to it. This is because the lactic acid in the curd helps in bleaching the skin. Mix milk, yogurt and gram flour and apply this mixture once daily in order to lighten the skin of the underarms.

  1. Orange peels

Orange peel is a natural bleaching agent. Dry orange peels in the sun and grind them to a fine powder. To this add rose water or milk and apply this mixture to the underarms atleast once daily.

Oils like olive oil and coconut oil are very effective in lightening the skin colour of the underarms. Olive oil has antioxidants and hence is very good for the skin. Coconut oil has contents of vitamin E which helps in lightening the colour of the skin. Simply massage these oils gently to the underarms before having a bath. Do this on a regular basis and you are sure to get positive results.

Vinegar not only helps in lightening the skin colour but the antibacterial properties also helps in doing away with the awful odour. Mix vinegar with rice flour and apply this mixture to the skin of the underarms. You can use this remedy on a daily basis for few months to get positive results.

  1. Saffron

Saffron has skin lightening properties and hence can be used as a skin lightening agent for the underarms. Soak saffron in thick milk. Apply this mixture on a daily basis to the underarms to get effective results.

These simple home remedies using natural ingredients that are readily available at home can be very useful in getting beautiful underarms. The best part is that these natural remedies do not have any harmful side effects.
