Never mind, what you have to know is how to get your skin kissed by the sun, leaving it streak-free. In short, you have to go the way to keep your skin from smelling funky.

Here are some scientific and effective tips -

* Slough off dead skin with a loofah or exfoliating shower gel to allow a self-tanner to work on fresh, new skin.

* Apply self-tanner lightly to areas where the skin is thick -- like elbows, knees, ankles and knuckles.

* Wash your hands right after applying a self-tanner, or wear latex gloves.

But, what you have to find out is how effective your self-tanners against the harmful rays of the sun are. Rather, it is the best to stay out of the sun as much as possible. After all, you can't prevent the ultra-violet rays from having its toll on your skin completely.
