Do Mia shoes look better and punk on 14 years old, than Vans?

I am looking for some cool footwear for myself for this spring that would go well with most of my dresses. I am 14 years old, and I have worn flats until now, however, I am keen on switching to some different brand for my shoes, as I usually bring them from Wal mart! I am choosing from Vans and Mia shoes, so I would like to know from somebody whether Mia shoes is a better option over Vans considering the punk stuff that I am looking for!
