Omega 3 fish oils is indeed beneficial for asthma patients. The anti-inflammatory ingredients present in fish oils plays a significant role to prevent asthma attacks especially those resulting from over exercise or over activity. Medical experts suggests asthma patients to augment their intake of fish oil or Omega 3 instead of taking more processed foods, vegetable oils, meats and dairy products containing Omega 6. As you are suffering from asthma, it is very much essential for you to consume omega 3 fish oils on a regular basis by including oily fishes such as sardines and salmon in your diet. These days you also get fish oil tablets and supplements in health food stores and local supermarkets. But it is always advisable to take food rather than supplements as they contain a richer source of DHA and EPA. If you are a vegetarian, you can get a rich source of Omega 3 from flax oil, canola oil, walnuts, olive oil, soybeans, raw tofu and pumpkin seeds. You can also consume nuts in your snacks. Fish oils have therapeutic benefits and consuming it regularly will prevent you from exercise-induced asthma attacks in the future but you must be cautious while selecting fish oils as those containing lesser grade contains harmful toxins.
