Do walking boots from Wynsors shoes make comfortable shoes for young kids?

My son is in 3rd grade now, but since it is winters, he wants to get those waterproof walking boots from Wynsors for his school. I found them quite trendy and comfortable for the striking winters here at Florida, however, I am a bit skeptical of buying them for him, as he tends to run around a lot and he walks quite fast. I am afraid that due to the slight thinner padding in the shoes in the front, it would be a bit difficult for him to run around! I would like to know from somebody whether such walking boots from Wynsors shoes make comfortable shoes for quite young kids as my son, or not!
